PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

LOCTITE R Big Foot O Waterbased Primer/Sealer is a two-component sealing system designed to increase the adhesion and coverage of Big Foot anti-slip coatings on concrete, wood, tile and other porous substrates under typical dry service temperatures of ¡V29¢X to +60¢XC (¡V20¢X to +140¢XF). Its low odor and low VOC formula make it ideal for use in kitchens, hospitals, and beverage plants. Easy to handle and apply, Big Foot Waterbased Primer/Sealer is abrasion resistant and resists most mild acids, alkalis, salts, gasoline, and oils. It dries quickly, ensuring good intercoat adhesion with topcoats.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation

¡VBig Foot Waterbased Primer/Sealer can be applied to any clean, dry or damp surface. Recommended methods of cleaning are as follows:

New Concrete ¡V

New concrete should cure for thirty days prior to coating. After fully cured, surface must be clean and dry; all loose particles must be removed by brushing, air hosing or similar method.

Wood Floors ¡V

Remove any weathered wood to expose clean, solid substrate. Smooth wood must be sanded to ensure proper mechanical bonding.

Tile ¡V

Glazed or ceramic tile must be sanded to remove all glaze to ensure good mechanical bond. Remove any residual sanding dust by air blowing or wiping with alcohol.

IMPORTANT:

Unlike conventional epoxies, Big Foot Waterbased Primer/Sealer will not harden in the can. It will remain liquid after its 2-hour pot life. Therefore, no material should be used 2 hours after mixing as it will not cure properly.

Application ¡V

Big Foot Waterbased Primer/Sealer is a two-part compound. Pour the hardener into the container of base material and stir thoroughly (approximately three to five minutes) with a mechanical mixer, JiffyR mixing blade, Product No. 96131. Apply by using:

Roller application ¡V Use a short nap mohair paint type roller, Product No. 96153. Apply uniformly.

   Brush application ¡V Use a 4¡¨ wide thin stock brush.

3.

All Big Foot anti-slip coatings can be successfully applied to a primed surface after 3-6 hours at 21¢XC (70¢XF).

4.

Clean tools immediately after completing installation using soap and water.

* Temperature and thickness of application affect dry time. Temperatures under 10 o C (50 o F) will result in a substantially longer cure time. Temperatures over 27 o C (80 o F) will result in a shorter cure time. The thicker the application, the longer the cure time.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.

Storage

Product shall be ideally stored in a cool, dry location in unopened containers at a temperature between 8 ¢X C to 28 ¢X C (46 ¢X F to 82 ¢X F) unless otherwise labeled. Optimal storage is at the lower half of this temperature range. To prevent contamination of unused product, do not return any material to its original container.
